| Resumo: | A pesquisa desenvolvida tem como objetivo analisar e compreender o uso do estilo grotesco na literatura contemporânea sob o aspecto da violência estatal e suas consequências, a partir dos contos de Bernardo Kucinski. As narrativas analisadas foram: “Uma saga de dois irmãos”, “Um domingo no pomar do tio Herch”, “Achuzat Bait” e “Recordações de Elias Almada”, publicados na obra A cicatriz e outras histórias: (quase) todos os contos de Bernardo Kucinski, pela editora Alameda, em 2021. Ao longo da pesquisa, a fundamentação teórica esteve centrada na teoria da literatura com o propósito de se aprofundar na análise dos textos escolhidos; para isso, os principais estudiosos que nortearam os seguimentos da investigação foram: Paul Ricoeur e Luiz Costa Lima, cujos escritos foram utilizados com a finalidade de entender o diálogo entre a história e literatura. A escrita de Ricardo Piglia serviu de base para estabelecer a metodologia de análise estrutural do conto; recorreu-se ao estudo das obras de Wolfgang Johannes Kayser, Victor Hugo e Mikhail Bakhtin com a intenção de compreender as inúmeras formas de manusear o estilo grotesco na literatura; por fim, seguiu-se a teoria dos estudos de Jaime Ginzburg, que analisa a violência e o trauma na literatura brasileira. Também foram necessários os estudos sobre a função das personagens na estrutura da narrativa para identificar a estilística do grotesco nos contos contemporâneos do escritor Bernardo Kucinski. Dessa forma, as discussões concentram-se na fundamentação teórica da narrativa do conto, nos conceitos de memória, testemunho, grotesco e no debate entre a história e a literatura. Por conseguinte, nesta pesquisa, observou-se que o teor da literatura de testemunho está presente na arte literária do escritor e que o engajamento político no corpus literário é relevante para o conhecimento da história do Brasil e da América no contexto das Ditaduras Militares nas décadas de 60, 70 e 80; e para a história da comunidade judaica, pois estabelecem um diálogo entre a história e a literatura. | Abstract: | The research developed aims to analyze and understand the use of the grotesque style in contemporary literature from the perspective of state violence and its consequences, based on the short stories of Bernardo Kucinski. The narratives analyzed were: “A saga of two brothers”, “Um domingo no pomar do tio Herch”, “Achuzat Bait” and “Recordações de Elias Almada”, published in the work A cicatriz e outras histórias: (quase) todos os contos de Bernardo Kucinski, by Alameda publishing house, in 2021. Throughout the research, the theoretical basis was centered on literary theory with the purpose of deepening the analysis of the chosen texts; for this, the main scholars who guided the segments of the investigation were: Paul Ricoeur and Luiz Costa Lima, whose writings were used to understand the dialogue between history and literature. Ricardo Piglia's writing served as a basis for establishing the methodology of structural analysis of the short story. The study of the works of Wolfgang Johannes Kayser, Victor Hugo and Mikhail Bakhtin was used to understand the numerous ways of handling the grotesque style in literature; finally, the theory of studies by Jaime Ginzburg, who analyzes violence and trauma in Brazilian literature, was followed. Studies on the role of characters in the structure of the narrative were also necessary to identify the stylistics of the grotesque in the contemporary short stories by Bernardo Kucinski. Thus, the discussions focus on the theoretical foundation of the narrative of the short story, the concepts of memory, testimony, grotesque and the debate between history and literature. Therefore, in this piece of research, it was observed that the content of testimonial literature is present in the writer's literary art and that political engagement in the literary corpus is relevant to the knowledge of the histories of Brazil and America in the context of the Military Dictatorships in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s; and for the history of the Jewish community, as they establish a dialogue between history and literature.
