The research project aims to carry out a numismatic survey and analysis focused on King Juba II, considering the African representations present on his coins. Juba II was one of the main kings of the Province of Mauretania; his reign preceded a turbulent period of revolts, leading to the division of the province into two: Mauretania Caesarea and Mauretania Tingitana. In the latter, we will thoroughly study the city of Volubilis, an important city in the economic scenario of the region, being considered in some studies as having greater importance than the provincial capital, Tangier. Therefore, in our work, we will seek to examine the numismatic representations involving Juba II, as well as try to understand the context in which the city of Volubilis was situated, while also seeking to comprehend the possible causes that lead to these topics being so little explored in Brazil. Finally, we will attempt to provide an analysis of the context of Roman Africa, and how it is marginalized in much of academic research, correlating this with the teaching of African History in our country.
ANÁLISE DA INFLUÊNCIA DO ESFORÇO CORTANTE NA DEFLEXÃO DE VIGAS ISOSTÁTICAS SEGUNDO AS TEORIAS DE BERNOULLI-EULER E TIMOSHENKO

This study quantitatively evaluates, within the context of Solid Mechanics, the influence of bending moment and shear force on the transverse deflection of statically determinate beams with rectangular cross-sections, using the Bernoulli-Euler and Timoshenko beam theories. In the classical Bernoulli-Euler theory, cross-sections initially plane before deformation are assumed to remain plane and perpendicular to the neutral axis after deformation, neglecting the contribution of angular deformations caused by shear forces. In contrast, the Timoshenko beam theory, which provides a more refined structural analysis model, considers angular deformations in the cross-sectional plane by assuming that the cross-sections do not remain perpendicular to the neutral axis after deformation due to the non-uniform distribution of shear stresses along the beam depth. The formulations employed in this study were based on classical Solid Mechanics textbooks. To compare both theories, numerical examples were developed, allowing the individual contributions of bending and shear to the total beam deflection to be identified. The results showed that, although bending deformation is the predominant component, the contribution of shear deformation to the total deflection should be considered, especially in short beams with low span-to-depth ratios and high ratios between the longitudinal and shear moduli. Furthermore, it was verified that both theories provide practically identical results for medium- and long-span beams, whereas for short beams the Timoshenko theory offers more accurate predictions.
Heróis do Solo: Missões pela Terra

"Soil Heroes: Missions for the Earth" is an educational game organized into missions and phases, developed to stimulate learning about soil and its importance to animal, plant, and human life. Through practical and visual activities, the game addresses themes such as soil and water conservation, biodiversity, plants, organic matter, and sustainable practices. The missions encourage participants to observe, investigate, experiment, record, and share knowledge, also promoting cooperation, empathy, and environmental responsibility. The material consists of 70 cards with missions and phases, as well as progressive rewards, such as "Leaves of Conquest," special cards, and the "Soil Hero" shield, valuing the achievements obtained along the way. The proposal seeks to connect environmental knowledge to everyday situations and encourage simple attitudes of care for the soil and the environment.
SOCIOLOGIA DA INFÂNCIA: um diálogo entre a teoria e a prática

This text stems from research and outreach projects at UFMS/CPAQ titled “The Sociology of Childhood: media, school, cinema, languages, and interdisciplinary dialogues” and “The Sociology of Childhood and Early Childhood Education,” developed within the scope of GEPCI (Child and Childhood Study and Research Group). Both aim to foster an understanding of childhood as a socially constructed generational category, recognizing children as active social subjects. The research addresses the question of how the Sociology of Childhood can contribute to understanding children as social actors through academic and outreach experiences. It draws on authors such as Corsaro (2011), Sarmento (2007), and Kramer (2007), who view the child as a producer of culture and an active participant in social relations. The methodology adopts a qualitative approach, combining the analysis of literary works and scientific articles with outreach practices carried out at the José Rodolfo Falcão Early Childhood Education Center (CMEI), involving children from early childhood education and the early years of elementary school. The activities provided opportunities for exploration, investigation, creation, and interaction, integrating diverse materials and forms of expression. The results demonstrate that such experiences enhance children's physical, motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development while reaffirming their agency. It was found that integrating pedagogical practices with sociological inquiry expands the possibilities for understanding childhood in its various lived forms, thereby strengthening the field of the Sociology of Childhood within both academic and school contexts.
DIÁLOGOS INTERDISCIPLINARES E REFLEXIVOS: A SOCIOLOGIA DA INFÂNCIA EM QUESTÃO

This text is an excerpt from the UFMS/CPAQ research project "The Sociology of Childhood: media, school, cinema, languages, and interdisciplinary dialogues," grounded in the work of GEPCI (Child and Childhood Study and Research Group – UFMS/CPAQ). It also encompasses the outreach project "Child/ren and Childhood/s in Cinema: curricular outreach initiatives." Both projects aim to foster an understanding of childhood as a generational category and a social construct, viewing children as active subjects and protagonists of their own culture. They also seek to drive innovation in the field of the Sociology of Childhood by connecting Pedagogy students with early childhood and primary education professionals from the Aquidauana/MS municipal public school system. The activities encourage new conceptions of the child and childhood(s) through the language of cinema, recognizing film as an educational resource that both reproduces and interprets realities, thereby prompting reflection and conceptualization regarding diverse social contexts. The proposal is anchored in cinema as a tool for cultural and critical development, enabling children and educators to broaden their perspectives on the multiple childhoods experienced in the contemporary world. By combining the artistic medium of cinema with theoretical depth and attentive listening to children, the initiative helps create new educational possibilities for professionals working directly with children and their childhoods.
