Abstract

Finally, I consider this book a combative material in this direction, to add to other studies that advance, within the limits of the Psi field, beyond a Psychology that naturalizes the consequences of class society and seeks only to "adapt" individuals who suffer to a society barbarized and dehumanized in its essence. It moves towards a Psychology that denounces and positions itself in the struggle, together with other social forces, to overcome this form of sociability. In addition to productivism, affirms, in the words of Florestan, the constructive social functions of the University. (Preface, Silvana Calvo Tuleski) *** As can be seen in this presentation, the work establishes dialogues with classic areas of psychology, mobilizing inflections in the ways in which a variety of phenomena have been historically approached: groups and groupings; violence against women; developmental and schooling process problems; psychic suffering; the social in the psychological clinic; psychological measures and tests. Therefore, this production mobilizes the diversity of fields of research and professional practice in psychology, namely: Group Psychology, Psychopathology and Mental Health, Clinical Psychology, Psychological Assessment, School and Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology and History of Psychology. Here is the implied nature of the book we present to readers: the works are involved with the urgent need to overcome class society and with a psychology that – in its foundations and in its practice – expresses the tendencies of such a societal project.
