Contribuições de uma sequência didática Freireana na percepção dos alunos em relação ao Aedes aegypti e as doenças por ele transmitidas

Abstract

Diseases caused by Aedes aegypti represent a public health problem throughout Brazil. The diversity of risk factors and the essential role of the population is solving the problem accentuates the need to expand preventive actions. Considering the importance of the theme in the field of education, in this research, we can see the contributions that a didactic sequence based on the Freirean perspective can offer to a critical view of the students, about this reality, objectifying with them the reflection on their social contexts, political and environmental changes and changing attitudes towards problems. The research development scenario is the Escola Lencipal Profª Lenita de Sena Nachif, located in the Midwest neighborhood, South Region of the Municipality of Campo Grande MS, the 7th year students being participants of the research. Based on a qualitative methodological approach, the research aimed at the development of the content together with the students, they were motivated to interact with the dialogue, were encouraged to highlight situations that show the care or absence of it, in relation to the possible breeding sites of the mosquito A aegypti. Pedagogical moments were taken as beaconing, development, investigation, the activities of a didactic sequence, approaching the mosquito Aedes aegypti and the diseases that it transmits, contemplating the curriculum in the discipline of biological sciences. The results of the research are pointed out critically analytical, based on Roque Moraes in the discursive textual analysis. And he showed that the proposals that a Freireana didactic sequence provides to the teaching process learning by overlapping the subject vector A. Aegypti and the processes of prevention of diseases transmitted by it, with students of a 7th grade elementary school class, it was considered that the participants are acquiring important notions for a critical awareness of their role with the environment in which they live as a citizen and to establish respectful relationships with the environment in which they live.
