A inserção da música na educação infantil

Abstract

Music education is very important for the integral development of students. Children are usually very motivated when it comes to music, and they really show an interest in learning educational content developed using music. Therefore, in addition to being, in itself, a type of education that allows many students to get in touch with their non-verbal and sensitive side, it can also help in learning other didactic subjects. Motivation, which is an important higher psychological function in the teaching-learning process, greatly helps in the acquisition of new concepts. It encompasses many cognitive functions, such as attention and perception, and music helps by engaging the student, being a great motivator for learning the subject, regardless of its complexity. The general objective of this work is to reflect on how music contributes to early childhood education and to children's cognitive development, analyzing the relevance of music in early childhood education and examining how music is incorporated into educational policies. To achieve the objectives, a literature review was carried out, with bibliographic research in the Virtual Library (BV) and in the Scielo databases.
