A genese e os movimentos da universidade: da construcao da inteligencia da sociedade a reproducao de profissionais para o mercado

Abstract

Esta dissertação é decorrencia do relatório da pesquisa desenvolvida durante o Curso de Mestrado no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul. Nesta, investigamos a genese e os movimentos da Universidade ao longo da sua história, em busca do entendimento de como se deu a sua estruturação em torno de dois de seus possiveis modelos: o da construção da Inteligencia da Sociedade e o da reprodução de profissionais para o mercado. Para tanto, o objetivo perseguido foi compreender, ao longo do processo histórico, como a sociedade burguesa deu origem à Universidade, para melhor explicar a função desta nos dias atuais e as alternativas para o Ensino Superior. Para isso, utilizou-se metodologia qualitativa, enfatizando a pesquisa bibliográfica e análises sobre as diversas abordagens dadas à temática do estudo, além de análise documental. O estudo mostrou que as transformações que acontecem de forma cada vez mais rápida e acelerada, em todas as dimensões, politica, economica, social e cientifica, provocam repercussões na organização da Universidade que, por seu caráter milenar e pelas suas funções de produção e disseminação do conhecimento, procura adaptar-se e, ao mesmo tempo, interferir nos vários aspectos desse processo, por meio da formação de profissionais, da realização de pesquisas e de sua interação com a sociedade. Apesar da relevancia de que se reveste a temática, ficou evidenciado que a preocupação de uma parcela da sociedade com a questão universitária brasileira levou à expansão exponencial do sistema de educação superior em detrimento do caráter de formação integral contido nos modelos de Universidades. As outras instituições voltadas para esse nivel de ensino, embora atendam à demanda, traduzem melhor os anseios e expectativas de mobilidade social e de empreendimento lucrativos, acarretando diferenças entre Universidade e mero Ensino Superior.

This dissertation is consequence of the report of the research developed during the Master's Degree Course in the Master's Degree Program in Education, of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. In this, we investigate the Genesis and the movements of the University along their history, in search of the understanding of when she felt him to structure around two of their possible models: the construction of the Intelligence of the Society and the reproduction of the professionals to the market. For so much, the objective was to understand, along the historical process, as the bourgeois society she created the University, for better to explain the function of this in the current days and the alternatives for the higher education. For that, the qualitative methodology was used, giving emphasis to the bibliographical investigation, and analysis in the several approaches given to the topic of the study, beyond documental analysis. The study showed that the transformations that happen more fast and more accelerated, in all the dimensions, politics, economical, social and scientific, it causes repercussions in the organization of the University that, by its millenarian character and by its production functions and propagation of the knowledge, she tries to adapt and, at the same time, to interfere in the several aspects of this process, through the formation of the professionals, of the achievement of investigations and of its interaction with the society. In spite of the relevance that is covered the topic, it was evidenced that the concern of a portion of the society with the matter of the Brazilian academic took to the exponential expansion from the system of superior education in detriment of the character of the integral formation contained in the models of the Universities. The other institutions they are directed at this instruction level, although they help to the demand, they translate the yearnings and expectations of social mobility well and of profitable enterprise, carting differences not between the University and the Higher Education
