A escrita de autoria feminina: memória, resistência e decolonialidade

Abstract

The purpose of this book is to think about female authorship literature from the axes of memory, decoloniality and resistance. The texts reflect on the dimension of the power of domination and exploitation of the colonial/modern/capitalist/patriarchal system perpetrated in different societies in Latin America. From previous propositions on gender-race relations, this book provides a critical reading of the modes of subjection to which women in the global South were subjected with the effect of the process of coloniality. It is about thinking about the way in which female authorship breaks silences, fills gaps and rewrites the history constituted by colonizations, dictatorships, ethnic confrontation, capitalist exploitation and hierarchical/dichotomous gender relations. We believe that women's writing promotes, in this sense, critical projects that are more aware of our condition and, consequently, of our specificities as subjects colonized by the capital/modern/patriarchal system. Literature written by women shares a set of characteristics that can be explained by the conditions of those who produced them. A self-reflective, intimate, analytical point of view on female identity and reality is made explicit. There is an emphasis on themes closer to everyday life, domestic life, her chores and motherhood. In addition, there is also the initiative to recover works by authors who were silenced or ignored by the history of Brazilian literature and the project to canonize works that made them invisible in the most prestigious areas.
