Tipo de item:Item, Avaliação das Condições de Superfície do Pavimento Flexível da Avenida Costa e Silva - Campo Grande/MS - Estudo de Caso(Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, 2026) LUIZ HENRIQUE DE OLIVEIRA; JANUSA SOARES DE ARAUJOUrban road infrastructure plays an essential role in the quality of cities, directly influencing safety, mobility, and economic development. Flexible pavement, as the most widely used pavement type on Brazilian urban roads, is susceptible to premature deterioration due to heavy traffic, climatic conditions, and insufficient preventive maintenance. In this context, the identification and classification of pavement defects using standardized methods constitute a fundamental step in supporting maintenance decision-making by public authorities. This study aimed to evaluate the surface condition of the flexible pavement along a section of Costa e Silva Avenue, in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, through the Continuous Visual Survey (CVS) using Video Recording. The study section was divided into four 1-km segments, where the survey was conducted using GoPro cameras mounted on a vehicle. Subsequent video analysis enabled the identification and quantification of the pavement distresses present in each segment, allowing the determination of the ICPF, IGGE, and IES indices. A total of 2,068 defects were identified, with patches being the predominant distress, accounting for 1,316 occurrences. All segments were assigned an ICPF value of zero and IGGE values exceeding 300, resulting in an IES classification of "Very Poor." The results indicate an advanced stage of pavement surface deterioration, likely compromising the underlying structural layers.Tipo de item:Item, Inteligência Artificial aplicada ao ensino da Engenharia Civil(Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, 2026) MARCELA FORTES CASALI; JULIO ALBERTO PERES FERENCZ JUNIORArtificial intelligence (AI) has driven significant transformations across various sectors of society—particularly in higher education—by enabling new teaching strategies, personalized learning, and expanded access to knowledge. In the context of Civil Engineering, these technologies offer the potential to facilitate the understanding of complex concepts, assist in solving technical problems, and foster the development of professional competencies. Against this backdrop, this study aims to analyze the application of AI in Civil Engineering education, focusing on practical proposals tailored to specific courses at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Adopting a qualitative approach, the research was conducted through a literature review and an applied analysis of generative AI tools. Based on scientific literature and tests performed with ChatGPT, application proposals were developed for the following courses: Hydraulics I, Structural Statics I, Integrated Water Resources and Sanitation Projects, and Civil Construction Materials I. The results indicate that AI can contribute to guided problem-solving, the interpretation of technical standards, the analysis of engineering scenarios, information organization, and support for the teaching-learning process. However, the findings also highlight that AI usage must be critical, ethical, and supervised, taking into account limitations regarding response reliability and the need for technical validation. The study concludes that AI holds great potential as a complementary tool in Civil Engineering education, capable of supporting both faculty and students when integrated into pedagogical methodologies and used responsibly.Tipo de item:Item, Associações entre manifestações patológicas e controle tecnológico e execução do concreto: estudo de caso em edifícios de múltiplos pavimentos(Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, 2026) LUCAS GABRIEL BARBOSA MUNARETTO; VALERIA RAMOS BALTAZAR QUEVEDOThis study investigates the association between concrete technological parameters, concreting execution conditions, and the occurrence of pathological manifestations in the structural elements of a multi-story building located in Campo Grande, Brazil. Based on records from the project's Quality Management System (QMS), 145 ready-mixed concrete truckloads placed between the 7th and 14th floors were traced, relating slump test results, total transport time, and concrete compressive strength to pathological manifestations identified after formwork removal. A total of 92 pathological manifestations were associated with 54 concrete truckloads (37.2%). Statistical analyses (Mann-Whitney, chi-square, and Fisher's exact test) showed that concrete consistency at delivery exhibited the strongest association with pathological manifestations: truckloads received outside the specified slump range showed a 71.8% incidence, compared with 24.5% for those within the specified range (OR = 7.8; p < 0.001). In contrast, concrete compressive strength and total transport time showed no statistically significant association. Field inspections identified recurrent execution-related deficiencies, particularly during concrete placement and consolidation, indicating that technological control alone is insufficient to ensure the final quality of reinforced concrete structural elements.Tipo de item:Item, ANÁLISE TÉCNICA E DE CUSTOS DE CONTENÇÕES EM SOLO REFORÇADO: ESTUDO DE CASO(Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, 2026) PAULO HENRIQUE PARABA LINO; JOSE OTAVIO SERRAO ELEUTERIOReinforced soil retaining systems have been widely employed in infrastructure projects due to their high stability, rapid construction, and versatility. This study aimed to perform a techno-economic analysis of three reinforced soil retaining solutions—Terra Armada, Muro Terrae, and Terramesh—applied to an underpass, comparing their structural performance and implementation costs. The design procedures were based on Brazilian technical standards and well-established geotechnical methodologies, including internal, external, and global stability analyses using limit equilibrium methods and specialized software. The economic assessment was carried out using the official cost databases of the Brazilian National Department of Transport Infrastructure (SICRO) and the Brazilian Federal Savings Bank (SINAPI), complemented by proprietary cost compositions when necessary. The results demonstrated that all three solutions satisfied the adopted stability and safety criteria. From an economic perspective, Muro Terrae presented the lowest implementation cost (R$ 406.59/m²), followed by Terramesh (R$ 588.24/m²) and Terra Armada (R$ 719.96/m²). It is concluded that all alternatives are technically feasible, and the selection of the most appropriate solution should consider the relationship between structural performance, implementation cost, and the specific characteristics of the project.Tipo de item:Item, Os violonistas compositores no Brasil e sua importância na formação do cenário musical e do violão brasileiro(Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, 2026) HEIDER BARBOSA DE OLIVEIRA; MAX PACKERThis work aims to present a didactic approach that will be carried out in the recital "Guitarist-Composers in Brazil and their importance in shaping the musical landscape and the Brazilian guitar" as a final course project for the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Communication of UFMS, for obtaining a degree in music with a specialization in music education. In order to address the didactic dimension of the recital, performances will be presented interspersed with comments and analytical observations on the repertoire, as well as the historical contexts of each work within the development of the Brazilian guitar and its composers.
