SEGREGAÇÃO SOCIOESPACIAL EM CAMPO GRANDE: objeto de intervenção urbana

Abstract

This work is the final step towards receiving the degree of Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism. Initially, socio-spatial segregation will be conceptualized, in an attempt to bring it closer to the city of Campo Grande, from a social and urban point of view. This, therefore, the discussion on this issue is recent in the local academic environment, and in this dissertation we tried to be part of a broader debate, yet to be built. Thus, studying the theme of segregation, the formations of Campo Grande and the data provided by the city hall are a way to understand the processes that permeate the discussion of socio-spatial segregation in the city. From this process of understanding segregation in the urban environment of Campo Grande, the study of drift (experimental methodology developed by the Situationist International) will be presented as a methodological practice. This discussion will be the way to substantiate the proposal of this work: to locate the socio-spatial segregation in the perimeter of the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul and present it to the population through an object of urban intervention. Following this thought, urban art will be approached as part of the expanded field of Architecture and Urbanism. With this, it is intended to introduce the discussion of the visual approach of the existence of socio-spatial segregation in the space of Campo Grande, as a way of referring to the conceptual study. Treating these aspects, a three-dimensional digital model will be developed that presents the socio- spatial segregation in the city of Campo Grande as a two-face topographic model; one side related to population data by neighborhood and the other related to per capita income by neighborhood. These conceptions will make up the study's object of urban intervention: a multifunctional space that seeks to present the discussion of socio- spatial segregation in the city of Campo Grande to its population.
