Os caminhos do viver e do fazer Geografia no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul

Abstract

This book aims to make public the consolidation process of the Geography Courses of two Federal Universities in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul - UFMS and UFGD - through reflections built by six professors/researchers, based on their work trajectories. with a view to promoting Class E, Full Professor, of the aforementioned institutions. The texts reveal, on different fronts, that collective work was and is the driving force of this process, which is unraveled in the important role that Geography courses play in the urban-regional context of Mato Grosso do Sul. These academic-professional life and work trajectories are more than requirements to fulfill regulatory requirements. Above all, they represent and reveal the social return of the public University.
