Ensino de Ciências, ensino de Geografia, Educação Ambiental e o manejo ecológico de uma horta escolar como mediação da aprendizagem de conceitos científicos

Abstract

A pesquisa objetivou investigar qual a contribuição da mediação da horta escolar para o aprendizado dos alunos de duas turmas de 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental, dos conceitos de erosão, microrganismos e manejo ecológico do solo, a partir da comparação de dois canteiros com manejos diferentes em uma escola municipal. A sequência de atividades desenvolvidas para a mediação teve início com a problematização do processo erosivo do solo dentro da escola e em seu entorno, e fundamentaram-se na perspectiva histórico-cultural do desenvolvimento humano. Algumas atividades aconteceram em parcerias com outras disciplinas e revelaram como a interdisciplinaridade aconteceu durante o projeto. A análise microgenética foi utilizada como metodologia de análise dos dados da pesquisa e os resultados revelaram o processo dinâmico da formação dos conceitos científicos objeto da pesquisa. Diante da realidade encontrada na escola com elevado número de alunos, perfis diferentes das turmas pesquisadas no que tange ao nível de desenvolvimento cognitivo, atenção e interesse na aprendizagem, e nas relações sociais dos alunos, a metodologia de ensino no espaço da horta mostrou-se satisfatória tanto para a formação de conceitos quanto para o desenvolvimento das demais funções intelectuais dos alunos, de suas relações sociais e valores em relação ao ambiente da escola. O projeto indicou como a Educação Ambiental pode ser inserida no currículo e a constituição da horta como Espaço Educador Sustentável na escola. Os produtos da pesquisa foram a sequência de atividades e sua publicação em um blog construído com os alunos revelando-se em mais um ambiente de aprendizagem.

ABSTRACT - The research aimed to investigate the contribution of mediation of the school vegetable garden for student learning of two classrooms of 6th grade of elementary school, to the erosion concepts, microorganisms and ecological management of soil, from the comparison of two garden beds with different managements in municipal school. The sequence of activities for mediation began with the problematization of the erosive soil process within the school and its surroundings, substantiated in the historical-cultural perspective of human development. Some activities took place in partnership with other disciplines and revealed as the interdisciplinary happened during the project. The genetic micro analysis was used as the research data analysis methodology and the results revealed the dynamic process of the formation of scientific concepts research object. Faced with the reality found in school with high numbers of students, different profiles of the groups surveyed in relation to the level cognitive, attention and interest in learning, and social relations of the students, the teaching methodology in the vegetable garden space proved satisfactory both for the formation of concepts and for the development of other intellectual functions of the students, their social relations and values in relation to the school environment. The project showed how environmental education can be inserted in the curriculum and the vegetable garden in the constitution as Space Sustainable Educator at school. The research products were the sequence of activities and its publication in a blog built with students if revealing in another learning environment.
