Reconto: a tradição que se renova

Abstract

Esta dissertação analisa a obra Lampião & Lancelote (2006), de Fernando Vilela, a partir do subgênero, reconhecido por reconto, entendendo-o como o contar novamente, seja por meio de uma atividade oral, ou de elaboração escrita. Segundo esta compreensão, a atividade de recontar uma história após ouvi-la vem sendo rotina na Educação Infantil e no Ensino Fundamental, priorizando a produção escrita que compreende as traduções e adaptações literárias, conservando o gênero do texto original. Acrescente-se que recontar implica, no plano da estrutura, alterar, entre outros elementos, a trama e, ao nível da linguagem, os registros e níveis linguísticos, tendo em vista a faixa de público a que os textos adaptados se destinam. Dessa forma, o presente estudo constitui-se de contextualização dos textos fontes, como a história de Lampião, lendário bandoleiro do sertão nordestino brasileiro, e de Lancelote, personagem oriundo do chamado ciclo arturiano da literatura inglesa. Foi realizada ainda análise estrutural, abordando os conceitos de narrador, de conto e de reconto, assim como estudo da linguagem visual, especificamente da ilustração e suas realizações estéticas.

ABSTRACT - This paper aims to analyze Lampião & Lancelote (2006), written by Fernando Vilela, from the subgenus, recognized by retelling, which means as to tell again, either through an oral activity or written preparation. According to this understanding, the activity of retelling a story after hearing it has been routine in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, prioritizing production comprising written translations and literary adaptations, preserving the genre of the original text. Add to retell implies that, in terms of structure, change, among other elements, the plot and at the level of language, records and linguistic levels, in view of the range of the public that the adapted text is intended to. Thus, the present study consisted of contextualization of the texts sources, such as the story of Lampião, legendary bandit of the Brazilian northeastern backlands, and Lancelot, a character from the Arthurian cycle of the English literature. We performed further structural analysis by addressing the concepts of narrator, telling and retelling tale, as well as the study of visual language, specifically illustration and aesthetic achievements.
