Abstract

This course completion work developed in the final stage of the undergraduate studies of the Visual Arts - Licentiate degree course, from the College of Arts, Letters, and Communication of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, aimed to research the experiences of the Mandatory Internships of the Visual Arts - Licentiate degree course. The study was developed from the bibliographic review of theorists and authors such as, Freire (1996); Pimenta e Lima (2012); Ferraz e Fusari (2001); bell hooks (2013); Rauen e Momoli (2015); among others. In addition to meeting the general objective, the research describes the development of the Internships in undergraduate studies, specifically those that occur in the regular teaching environment and analyzes the perceptions of the subjects about identity, motivation, preparation, experimentations, and mandatory documentation, seeking to understand the internship and its importance in teacher training. For this, the qualitative approach was used, and as methodology the bibliographic review, in addition to data collection with participants of this study (through online questionnaire and documentary analysis of the author's internship reports). The research is organized into three chapters, which are: chapter one, Internship, the first contact in chapter two, The Supervised Mandatory Internship in Visual Arts - Licentiate: a process of learning and teaching and finally, the chapter three, which dealt with understanding The internship in the voice of the interns. It was considered at the end of this research that the mandatory internship in Visual Arts is an essential formative space for the construction of teaching identity, bringing theory and practice closer and developing a more critical and reflective look on one's teaching practice.
