ANÁLISE DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA SOBRE CARGA POLÍNICA: LACUNAS E TENDÊNCIAS

Abstract

Studies involving pollen and plant reproduction contribute to the understanding of the coevolution between plants and pollinating agents. From a functional perspective, the role of pollinators and pollen transport between flowers is still underexplored, especially in tropical regions. The objective of this study is to analyze the scientific production on pollen load. The database was compiled through searches on the “Scopus” platform on April 13, 2023, using the keywords “pollen load.” The data obtained were saved in a BibTeX-format database. Analyses were performed using R software, through the bibliometrix package. In all analyses, abstracts were used as the exploratory unit. A total of 598 articles were sampled, ranging from 1955 to 2023. An increasing trend on the topic of pollen load was observed in terms of theme diversity, number of collaborations between authors and institutions, journal diversity, and author diversity. The prominence of scientific studies with an ecologicalevolutionary focus is also noteworthy.
