Abstract

With dialogues about teaching identity, university pedagogy, alterity, decoloniality, cultural studies, gender, race, cultures and social practices, education, and inclusion, this book brings together authors who show us that academia can and should make this transition, from not only (re)produce, but acquire the ethical commitment to expand the universe of epistemological representation, through an interdisciplinary approach. It is known that education is a cause for concern and strong clashes both nationally and internationally because, at the end of the day, it is through educational models that society reflects what it chooses to be. Cultural Studies and Education: Interdisciplinary approaches in the society of difference, is a work that presents the study of different theoretical fields that permeate the understanding of intercultural phenomena, education and society, critically involving these elements essential to the development of any project of nation and, of course, the society we aim to build.
