Abstract

In the current context, in which environmental awareness and the search for responsible agricultural practices are growing, with great enthusiasm we share this book “Technical Notebook: Good Practices in Animal Production” which presents itself as a valuable guide for producers, technicians and agribusiness students . Our goal is to inspire a new approach to raising animals for production, encouraging the adoption of strategies that balance animal production with the preservation of ecosystems. This book “Technical Notebook: Good Practices in Animal Production” is an initiative of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) through the Postgraduate Program in Animal Science, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) . This book will serve as technical support for rural producers, technicians in the field of agricultural sciences and students. The book has 11 chapters that cover important areas of Animal Science. Chapter 1 talks about cooperativism and associations, adding value to products and income diversification. In chapter 2 on good practices in food processing technology. In chapter 3 on good practices in silage production. In chapter 4 on good practices in pasture management. In chapter 5 on good practices in sheep farming. In chapter 6 on good practices in dairy farming. In chapter 7 on good practices in the management of beef cows. In chapter 8 on good practices in finishing beef cattle. In chapter 9 on good practices in fish farming, in chapter 10 on good practices in free-range poultry farming and in chapter 11 on good practices in pig farming.
