DESPERTAR DA SENSIBILIZAÇÃO AMBIENTAL A PARTIR DO TEMA DENGUE EM UMA TURMA DOS ANOS FINAIS DA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA

Abstract

Dengue is a viral disease that affects 80 million people worldwide annually. It is characterized as a major public health problem. The activities were developed in the final series of an Elementary Public School, municipality of Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul State. They were used to register and to collect data: notepads and tests. The different didactic modalities (expositive class, vídeo, gymkhana and tests) engaged 122 students. Previous knowledge from students about Dengue was measured in the beginning of intervention. In general, all students had some knowledge about Dengue, mainly by themselves or familiars who had been affected by this disease. After activities, the students showed a better understanding about concepts, as well as awareness for a conscious environmental practice. In this way, these habits aim to control the Dengue by actions to avoid the mosquito proliferation.
