Abstract

The book presents an observation, with a critical bias, of the political and economic relations between Brazil and Peru, considering their historical, cultural and environmental dimensions. The assessment is that this cooperation would allow Brazil access to the Pacific Basin, an area of ​​incredible economic potential, and, in a trade dispute between powers such as the United States and China. The work contributes to the Brazilian bibliography on relations that are not always equitable between Brazil and other South American countries, in this case with Peru since the 1990s. One of the notes of the work is the demonstration that one of the consequences of Operation Lava Jato was to make unequal relations between countries are evident.
