UMA INVESTIGAÇÃO DOS FATORES QUE TEM INFLUÊNCIA SOBRE A PALHETA DO OBOÉ DURANTE O PROCESSO DE APRENDIZAGEM DO INSTRUMENTO

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate, through a bibliographic review, the influence of the reed in the oboe teaching-learning process, as well as the various interferences that impact its performance. The choice of this topic is justified by the scarcity of educational materials in Portuguese that comprehensively address the technical and emotional aspects involved in oboe instruction, a gap that often forces students to rely on sources in other languages. The methodology employed consists of a qualitative narrative bibliographic review, which gathers and analyzes information from various academic and scientific sources, with the intent of providing Portuguese-language material that complements existing works aimed at oboe students and professionals. The study covers the historical evolution of the oboe, as well as the structure and necessary corrections of the reed, considering also the emotional impacts that affect students during the learning process and their performance. The main findings indicate that inadequate reed production can significantly harm musical performance, contributing to musicians' anxiety and demotivation. Factors such as climate and the lack of an effective systematization in teaching reed scraping and handling techniques are highlighted as additional challenges that directly affect the sound quality and confidence of the oboist. It is concluded that the expansion of Portuguese-language literature is essential to support the development of more effective teaching-learning strategies, minimizing the negative impacts on the performance and well-being of oboists, and contributing to the formation of more confident and technically proficient musicians.
