Desafios teóricos para o estudo do agronegócio brasileiro

Abstract

Este trabalho resgata a raiz teórica a qual se vincula a Nova Economia Institucional (NEI). Mostra que a NEI, em debate com outras correntes institucionalistas, revela limitações e contradições teóricas importantes. A falta desse resgate nos estudos sobre agronegócio tem impedido a observações de questões importantes do agronegcio brasileiro, como conflito, cultura e poder na formação das estruturas de governança. O trabalho apresenta, primeiramente, o vinculo entre compreender o agronegócio de forma sistemica e o pensamento institucionalista. Em seguida resgata as origens e correntes da Economia Institucional e mostra que a NEI se vincula ao individualismo metodológico, o que a distancia do institucionalismo original. Conclui que a NEI é um arcabouço teórico limitado para a compreensão das estruturas de governança observadas no Brasil, sobretudo no agronegócio brasileiro.

This work rescues the theoretical root to which is tied the New Institutional Economy (NIE). It shows that NIE, discussing with other institutionalism chains, discloses to limitations and important theoretical contradictions. The lack of this rescue in the studies on agro business has soldier on barrack duty the comment of important questions of the Brazilian agro business, as conflict, culture and power in the formation of the government structures. The work presents, firstly, the tie between understanding the agro business of a systematic form and the institutionalism thinking. After that it rescues the origins and chains of the Institutional Economy and shows that NIE ties with the methodological individualism, which is the distance of the original institutionalism. It concludes that the NIE is a theoretician structure limited for the understanding of the observed structures of government in Brazil, over all in the Brazilian agro business.
