O ENSINO DE ARTES VISUAIS NA PENITENCIÁRIA DE RIO BRILHANTE – MS: EDUCAÇÃO E EMANCIPAÇÃO HUMANA

Abstract

The present study addresses the relationship between the individual and human emancipation, based on the works of Paes, Tonet, Duarte and Saviani and other authors, contextualizing human emancipation from a perspective of historical-dialectic materialism and based on historical-dialectical pedagogy. critical, aiming to present the conception of humanization through the appropriation of knowledge and experience in artistic enjoyment and creation. In the historical-critical pedagogy approach, the importance of science and aesthetics for school education and the importance of teaching arts stand out. For theoretical structuring and practical analysis, a didactic intervention in visual arts is proposed for a Youth and Adult Education (EJA) class at the Male Penal Establishment in the city of Rio Brilhante – MS, considering the descriptions of Wacquant and Novo to understand the penal system. The research integrates bibliographical references with analyzes and reflections on the practice of teaching visual arts, relating the conceptions of art in human formation and the needs to overcome the dominance of capital that reproduces alienation. In the conclusions and practical description, the intervention includes analysis and artistic production, using as a reference works by the artist Fernando Botero, highlighting his representations and characteristics, as well as references to other works through reproductions. Additionally, the theme of the reproduction of violence in human formation is presented, applied in the artist's works called "Dores da Colombia". The synthesis of the results, with the creation and exhibition of the works to the community, together with the systematized text, will make up the collection of the Postgraduate Program in Arts (PPGARTES) at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) – Professional Master's Degree in Arts.
