Fonoaudiologia escolar: possibilidades no Ensino regular

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como tema a fonoaudiologia escolar e a educação. Objetivo geral: conhecer e analisar a fonoaudiologia escolar em escolas do ensino regular. Objetivos específicos: aprofundar o conhecimento sobre a prática da fonoaudiologia escolar e sobre os conteúdos que envolvem a educação, buscando a compreensão da possível parceria entre essas áreas; conhecer a fonoaudiologia escolar em Campo Grande/MS, na visão dos fonoaudiólogos escolares e na visão da equipe escolar. Metodologia: pesquisa qualitativa empírica apoiada em pesquisa bibliográfica descritiva. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada com entrevistas dirigidas aos representantes de 4 escolas particulares de Campo Grande/MS e aos 5 fonoaudiólogos que atuavam com fonoaudiologia escolar nessas escolas. Resultados: a prática fonoaudiológica nas escolas pesquisadas era eminentemente clínica. Em apenas uma encontraram-se tentativas de aproximação com a realidade escolar. Compreende-se o resultado encontrado pela história da Fonoaudiologia, inserida num contexto sócio-político e econômico e também na história da Educação Brasileira. Conclusão: o fonoaudiólogo tem recursos para atuar de forma mais relacionada à Saúde ou mais à Educação (escolar). Adequando seus conteúdos, dispondo-se de conhecimentos educacionais e comunicando-se com a equipe escolar através de uma linguagem comum, haverá possibilidade da fonoaudiologia escolar ter atuação “educacional”. A proposta é que o fonoaudiólogo e a equipe escolar tenham uma mudança de atitude, um em relação ao trabalho do outro.

The theme of this work is school-based speech-language pathology and education. General objective: to know and analyze school-based speech-language pathology in regular learning schools. Specific objectives: to deepen the knowledge on the practice of school-based speech -language pathology and on the contents that involve education, in search of a comprehension of the partnership possible between these two areas; to learn about school-based speech -language pathology in Campo Grande [MS] according to the vision of the school-based speech-language pathologists and the vision of the school team. Methodology: qualitative research based on descriptive bibliographical research. The field research was made with directed interviews with representatives of 4 schools and with 5 speech-language pathologist of these schools. Results: the speech-language pathology practice in the schools researched is eminently clinical. The result found is understandable if observed from the point of view of the history of Speech-Language Pathology inserted in a socio-political and socio-economic context as well as in the history of Brazilian Education. Conclusion: the speech-language pathologist has resources to act more with Health or more with Education (in schools). Adapting its contents with educational knowledge and communicating with the school team through a common language will lead to the possibility of school-based speech-language pathology having an educational performance. It is proposed that the speech-language pathologist and school team take a changing stance facing their work.
