Benzedeiras Tradição oral: desafios para a manutenção e perpetuação de suas práticas.

Abstract

The search for this theme is part of my approach to my great-grandmother, Maria, who throughout my childhood caught my attention when she used herbs in his hands while chanting prayers to heal the ills of the body and soul of their consultants. It was a pleasure to watch the whole ritualistic and preparation for the practice, which used everything from rosaries, sacred images, bible and the collection of herbs suitable for carrying out blessings according to the evil to be fought. As well as the ritualistic prayers chanted before, during and after the blessing, the recommendations for caring for the blessed person so that evil did not return. In my childish eyes everything was solemn, fascinating and sacred. These reports that I present here occurred in the municipality of AquidauanaMS, between 1981 and 1989.
