FLAUTA TRANSVERSAL E FLAUTIM: Sugestões para estudo e performance dos dois instrumentos a partir de entrevistas com músicos profissionais

Abstract

The present research work investigates the study strategies of musicians with the need to play the transverse flute and piccolo, as well as specifically looking for literature specific to piccolo studies or that considered both instruments (transverse flute and piccolo). In view of the changes in the Brazilian musical scene in relation to the job market, many notices now offer vacancies for transverse flute/piccolo, requiring the flutist to also play the piccolo and be able to perform this dual performance. In order to gain a better understanding, data collection was carried out using professional musicians and teachers working on both instruments. As a result, these professionals present many difficulties in teaching/learning, performance, technique, strategies and literature for the piccolo. Furthermore, specific knowledge of the piccolo can assist and help flutists who need to perform this double role. Keywords: transverse flute; piccolo flute; musical performance; music teaching.
