Abstract

Abstrac: This monograph investigates traditional Terena dance and music, focusing on the perspective of a UFMS student, whose objective is to show the reality and challenges inherent to the layers of identity construction, considering the identity construction as an indigenous woman and musician. The methodology adopted is autoethnography, in which the researcher critically analyzes his own trajectory, aiming to map the management of racial relations and inequalities in the university sphere. The researcher, acting as the subject of the experience, assumes the analytical role of object of observation, providing a unique perspective on the dynamics between cultural identity, academic environment and the adversities faced by indigenous students. This study aims to contribute to an in-depth understanding of ethnic experiences in the academic context, highlighting the importance of inclusion and equality as crucial elements.
