Abstract

This work aims to analyze the reservation of racial quotas as an instrument of access to political representation in Brazil, verifying its constitutionality and conventionality in accordance with Brazilian legislation and international human rights treaties ratified by the country. The research aims to explore the relationship between affirmative action and democratic principles. The methodology used in the study is the bibliographic review. Thus, through qualitative and descriptive bibliographic reviews, with the aim of providing a theoretical basis for the analysis of racial quotas in politics, guaranteeing social inclusion and the full exercise of citizenship.
