Abstract

Multiparentality is a reality present in contemporary society, where filiation ties are not limited only to biological relationships, but also to the affection and coexistence between parents and children. In this context, the possibility of accepting biological and socio affective affiliations in the civil registry has had significant impacts in several areas of law, from the issue of alimony to property succession. This article aims to analyze the effects of this new reality, as well as the legal and social implications resulting from multiparenthood. Therefore, specific cases and doctrines that deal with the subject will be studied, in order to better understand the social and legal transformations involved in this issue.
