A IMPORTÂNCIA DO ACORDO COLETIVO PARA A CLASSE TRABALHADORA

Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of collective bargaining agreements for the working class, highlighting the role of labor unions, the historical evolution of labor rights, and the impacts of the 2017 Labor Reform on labor relations in Brazil. The study addresses the development of Labor Law from the period of labor exploitation to the consolidation of the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) and the 1988 Federal Constitution, which expanded the legal protection of workers. The research has a qualitative approach, using the deductive method through bibliographic review and documentary analysis, based on books, legislation, scientific articles, and specialized websites. The results demonstrate that the Labor Reform strengthened the principle of negotiated agreements prevailing over legislation, expanding the flexibility of labor relations and the appreciation of collective bargaining. It is concluded that collective bargaining agreements remain fundamental for the protection of labor rights, contributing to better working conditions, legal certainty, and the strengthening of relations between employees and employers.
