Educação Infantil: um encontro histórico e político

Abstract

This work seeks to highlight the historical context for Early Childhood Education in Brazil. Its methodology is bibliographic and documentary study based on books, articles, Laws and Resolutions focused on the theme presented. The research results indicate that the child, in the middle ages it was considered a miniature child, which occurred until the 17th century. With the industrial revolution and the concern of families about the education of their children, movements began so that little ones had visibility as a being who needed attention and care differentiated from adults. The Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988 was essential for the creation of other documentts that dealt with children and their way of being and learnimg, among them the National Curricular Reference for Early Childhood Education was created, a landmark for this teaching stage.
