dc.description.abstractIn recent times, there has been an increase in the use of social networks, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, as people have had to distance themselves to avoid contagion physically and, with this, there has been a need for the market to reinvent itself, thus increasing the demand for digital marketing. Consequently, social networks have become great tools to perform tasks and replace the traditionally known marketing information systems (SIM). The main objective of this work is to investigate how companies located in Ponta Porã/MS use Instagram tools to promote their products and services to customers. For this, we seek to identify entrepreneurs who use Instagram as a digital marketing tool, analyze how to companies’ sales strategies, and investigate the perception of the importance of Instagram companies’ day-to-day lives. The methodology employed was a field study complemented by the bibliographic method, using books and articles as research sources. The research will help entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs understand the relevance of Instagram as a business tool since it can potentially boost sales of products and services, due to the reach provided by this platform.
