A ATUAÇÃO EXTRAJUDICIAL DA DEFENSORIA PÚBLICA DO ESTADO DE MATO GROSSO DO SUL: ANÁLISE DO ATENDIMENTO AO PROGRAMA NACIONAL DE DIREITOS HUMANOS (PNDH-3)

Abstract

The Public Defender's Office (PD) is one of the bodies of the Judiciary, responsible for ensuring human rights, providing opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged people, access to justice and the realization of these rights, being able to act judicially or extrajudicially. In view of this, the present work, based on the deductive method, seeks to supervise the extrajudicial performance of the State Public Defender's Office (SPD), through the analysis of the action proposals and projects that are being presented by the Public Defender's Offices of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul (PD/MS) aimed at promoting human rights. Still, the objective of the research is: to identify which actions are in progress by the NUDEDH; compare the projects and proposals in execution with the dictates of national and international human rights standards, in particular the National Human Rights Program (PNDH-3); assess the importance and effects of such actions on society and, through a qualitative approach, analyze whether the extrajudicial action of the PD/MS is a skillful instrument in guaranteeing human rights. For this purpose, a documentary and bibliographical survey is carried out, based on the information/data collected, the content of the material is analyzed using a qualitative approach, confirming that the PD/MS is active in terms of raising awareness of HD.
