RAÇA E GÊNERO: A INVISIBILIDADE DA MULHER NEGRA COMO JUÍZA NA JUSTIÇA FEDERAL

Abstract

The research deals with gender/race intersectionality in the Brazilian federal judiciary and aims to promote visibility to the absence of black women within the scope of federal justice, as judges, as well as a reflection on the need for debate on quota policies and diversity in the system judiciary, with the aim of provoking critical reflection on the issue of institutionalization of racism and the marginalization of women. In addition, the research report of the National Council of Justice was analyzed, about the profile of the Brazilian federal judiciary. Furthermore, the research highlights racism and machismo rooted in Brazilian society. For this purpose, the hypothetical-deductive method was used, proceeding with bibliographical and documentary research and, through the procedure of content analysis, the collected data were assessed quantitatively and qualitatively. Furthermore, from the data collected and analyzed in the research, it can be seen that the gender/race approach still needs affirmative action in order to reach an inclusive legal system.
