Diversidade de anfíbios anuros (anura) em uma área de floresta estacional semidecidual no Parque Municipal de Piraputangas, em Corumbá, MS

Abstract

Estudos sobre anfíbios anuros são escassos para o Pantanal sul-mato-grossense, em especial para a região de Corumbá. No presente estudo nós estimamos os padrões de distribuição espaço-temporal e diversidade de anfíbios anuros em uma área de floresta estacional dentro dos limites do Parque Municipal de Piraputangas (PMP), Corumbá. Nós registramos 27 espécies dentro dos limites do PMP que pertencem às seguintes famílias: Bufonidae, Hylidae, Leptodactylidae e Microhylidae. Quanto aos fatores abióticos, a riqueza de espécies foi influenciada pelo regime de temperaturas do ar. Por outro lado, a umidade relativa do ar e a pluviosidade total mensal não foram significativamente correlacionas com a abundância de indivíduos. Houve grande sobreposição no uso da ocupação vertical entre os hilídeos, principalmente entre Dendropsophus minutus e Hypsiboas raniceps. Não observamos preferência intraespecífica quanto ao tipo do substrato utilizado. Aproximadamente 40% das espécies estimadas para o Pantanal foram encontradas no PMP, que deve representar um local de grande importância para a biodiversidade da borda oeste do domínio morfoclimático Pantanal.

ABSTRACT - Studies on anuran amphibians are scarce in the Southern Pantanal, especially for the region of Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Central-Western Brazil. In the present study we estimated the spatial and temporal patterns of distribution and diversity of anuran amphibians in an area of deciduous forest within the boundaries of the Parque Municipal de Piraputangas (PMP), Corumbá. We registered 27 anuran species at the PMP that belong to the following families: Bufonidae, Hylidae, Leptodactylidae and Microhylidae. Concerning the abiotic factors, the species richness was influenced by air temperature. On the other hand, relative air humidity and total monthly rainfall were not significantly correlated with abundance of individuals. There was an extensive overlap among hylids regarding habitat use of the vertical stratification, especially between Dendropsophus minutus and Hypsiboas raniceps. We did not observe intraspecific preference in substrate use. About 40 % of the species estimated for found in the Pantanal were found in the PMP, which may represent an area of great importance for biodiversity on the western edge of the Pantanal.
