A Alteridade em narrativas de Luiz Vilela

Abstract

Este trabalho propõe a análise das relações de alteridade presentes em oito contos do escritor Luiz Vilela. Os contos selecionados apresentam personagens em confronto com alteridades definidas por serem estrangeiras (imigrantes e aquelas que não se sentem pertencentes ao lugar). Temos o Outro, como aquele que não pertence ao grupo ‗nós‘ (migrantes e o exótico) e também temos a Outridade (condição de acolhimento do outro por personagem local). O objetivo do estudo é estabelecer a forma com que Luiz Vilela representa o Estrangeiro, ―o outro‖ e a outridade. Para tanto, descrevemos o relacionamento que tais personagens estabelecem entre si. Utilizamos como método analítico os preceitos da semiótica greimasiana, em específico, o quadrado semiótico. Valemo-nos também de referencial teórico embasado em estudos de Julia Kristeva, Todorov e Octavio Paz. Dialogamos com a fortuna crítica de Luiz Vilela, utilizando estudos de Wania Majadas, Yvonélio Nery Ferreira, Rauer Ribeiro Rodrigues e Ronaldo Vinagre Franjotti. A primeira hipótese, neste trabalho, é de que, em Luiz Vilela, como verificamos nos contos de explícito contato do ―eu‖ com ―o outro‖, o espaço social é cruel e desumano e o homem é um ser sem complacência com a alteridade. No extremo, o que parece é que o ―nós‖ elimina o ―outro‖, quando não pode submetê-lo aos seus ditames. A segunda hipótese é de que o narrador não é conivente com a crueldade, forjando alternativas de entendimento entre a alteridade que simboliza o diferente, o outro, e o eu, que representa um ‗nós‘ coletivo. Nossa proposição central é de que o narrador, em Luiz Vilela, passa da dissociação ―eu‖/alteridade para situações nas quais o ―eu‖ incorpora, em si, a alteridade.

ABSTRACT - The paper intends to analyze the otherness relations found in eight short stories by writer Luiz Vilela. The selected short stories present characters in confrontation with othernesses that are defined by their conditions of foreigners (immigrants and those who do not feel they belong). There is the other, considered as the one who does not belong to the group ‗we‘ (migrants and the exoctic). There is the otherness (a condition of welcoming others by local characters). The objective of the study is to establish the way Luiz Vilela represents the foreigner, ‗the other‘, the otherness and the relationship that such characters construct between themselves. The theoretical approach is based on studies by Julia Kristeva, Todorov and Octavio Paz and the critical richness of Luiz Vilela, with the use of studies by Wania Majadas, Yvonélio Nery Ferreira, Rauer Ribeiro Rodrigues and Ronaldo Vinagre Franjotti. In the extreme, what appears is that ' we ' eliminates the ' other ', when cannot submit it to their dictates. The second hypothesis is that the narrator is not in cahoots with cruelty, forging alternatives of understanding between the otherness that symbolizes the different, the other, and I, which represents a collective ' we‘.Our central assumption is that the narrator, in Luiz Vilela, moves from the dissociation ‗I‘/otherness to situations in which ‗I‘ incorporates, in itself, the otherness.
