| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT This research is configured as a legal and socio-political analysis of the Naviraí/Mato Grosso do Sul Junior Chamber Project within the scope of the Political Literacy and Citizenship Education Workshops Extension Project of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). For the proposed research, articles from the 1988 Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Law 8.069/90 - Statute of the Child and Adolescent, Law 9.394/96 - Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education - and Municipal Law nº. 1936/2015, amended by Law nº. 30/2019 - regulations governing junior representation in the municipality were analyzed. The results indicate that the Junior Chamber Project, carried out in the city of Naviraí since 2019, contributes to the substantive implementation of legal and political principles advocated in the studied legislation.
