The podcast “How Much Is Your Work Worth?” is a radio report that addresses the wage disparity between men and women in the formal job market in Mato Grosso do Sul. The project was developed as a Journalism undergraduate thesis at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. The product was created as a single episode that tells the story of Nick, a non-binary trans woman, and Maria de Fátima, both victims of prejudice in the workplace in the state. The narrative contextualizes the various types of discrimination they and other women in similar situations face. The production of the podcast was based on bibliographic research and interviews with experts and subjects, which helped deepen the discussion. Through expert analyses and the testimonies of women who suffered discrimination and received lower wages, it was possible to understand, in practice, how workplace bias is rooted in society. The content also highlights the need to create and strengthen public policies that promote gender equity and combat wage inequalities.-
