A PROTEÇÃO DOS DIREITOS DAS CRIANÇAS NO AMBIENTE DIGITAL: Análise de postagens em redes sociais

Abstract

This study focuses on the protection of children's rights in the digital environment and aimed to investigate how these rights are guaranteed in the face of the risks and challenges faced on social media, especially on YouTube and TikTok. The research, which took a qualitative and documentary approach, conducted a critical analysis of videos published between 2024 and 2025. The results highlight the overexposure of children promoted by parents, guardians, and digital influencers, often for entertainment or profit. Situations of vulnerability, racism, early sexualization, and disguised advertising were identified, which violate rights provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD), compromising the well-being and dignity of children. It was concluded that, although protective legislation exists, its practical application still faces limitations in the face of the rapid expansion of digital platforms, reinforcing the need to raise awareness among families, schools, society, and companies to ensure a safer and healthier virtual environment for children.
