CARTOGRAFIAS DE UMA MULHER TRANS NO CAMPO ACADÊMICO Narrativas de resistência e (re) existência no campo acadêmico

Abstract

This work is part of the project "Narrative Research: The Interfaces between Gender Diversity, Experiences, Struggles, and Resistance in the Academic Environment," linked to the Biograf group. The objective is to analyze the narrative of a transgender student in the academic field, seeking to understand her experiences, challenges, and forms of resistance. The research is based on the biographical narrative approach and interpretive analysis of Schütze (1983; 2011), whose methodological proposal allows us to access the meanings attributed to lived experiences. The analysis of the interview revealed central elements of the participant's journey, such as the construction of gender identity, the effects of veiled discrimination, fears about her professional future, and the importance of institutional recognition. The lack of specific affirmative action policies for trans people at the university under study reinforces the need for institutional actions that promote justice and inclusion. It is concluded that trans narratives, when legitimized as sources of knowledge, have the potential to destabilize exclusionary norms and transform academic spaces into more diverse and democratic territories.
