Abstract

This final thesis aims to address the issue of female subjectivity amidst the discourses that shape it and stimulate reflection on resistance. The goal is to understand the challenges involved in the construction of female subjectivity in an environment hostile to women, where the imposition of the other tends to limit it. The research was conducted through an exploratory strategy, focusing exclusively on a bibliographic review. The objective of the exploratory research is to investigate the problem and generate possible ways of investigation. The literature review included genealogy and was based on Michel Foucault's concepts to understand the subject, the dialectic of the Self and the Other from Hegel and Sartre, the analysis of women through the lens of Simone de Beauvoir, the observation of Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalytic theories, and Foucault's concept of resistance. The conclusion highlighted the urgency of addressing the conceptualization of female subjectivity, showing how the relationship with the other, in the search for subjectivity, impacts the female subjective encounter. This theoretical framework allowed the analysis of the issue from different perspectives. The results indicate the need to discuss the conceptualization and establishment of female subjectivity, emphasizing how the relationship with the other contributes to its development. It is concluded, therefore, that it is essential to create resistance strategies capable of confronting limiting power dynamics.
