Abstract

This article, developed through theoretical references from articles and research on sexual violence against women, addresses a case of rape that occurred in the United States and produced film productions reproducing the story through the series “Unbelievable”, made up of eight episodes, telling the story of the victim, represented by the character Marie Adler and the serious consequences she went through until she was able to prove that her complaint was true from the beginning, but that your word was doubted due to the lack of preparation of professionals, who should first offer support and protection to the victim. The work will also present the types of rape that occur in Brazil and the main characteristics of rapists, victims and the situations in which crimes occur. Along with the definition of cinematographic narratives, mentioning filming and framing techniques, based on the techniques used by audiovisual producers, who use them to capture scenes and transmit them with the best intention of causing emotions and capturing the attention of their audience.
