LETRAMENTO: o caminho dos saberes

Abstract

Indigenous Knowledge at School is an action that seeks to promote the continued training of teachers in indigenous school education, especially those who work in the initial years of basic education in indigenous schools; offer didactic and pedagogical resources that meet the specificities of community organization, multilingualism and interculturality that underpin educational projects in indigenous communities; offer subsidies for the development of curricula, definition of methodologies and evaluation processes that meet the specificities of the literacy, numeracy and knowledge processes of indigenous peoples; encourage research that results in the creation of teaching and para-teaching materials in different languages, bilingual and monolingual, according to the sociolinguistic situation and in accordance with the specificities of indigenous school education. This book is the result of persistent and tireless work to initiate the revitalization of the Ofaié language. Our goal is for it to be an encouraging tool for learning vocabulary, simple phrases and short texts in the Ofaié language.
