Reabitar. Vila de acolhimento em Campo Grande-MS para mulheres-mães vítimas de violência doméstica

Título: Reabitar. Vila de acolhimento em Campo Grande-MS para mulheres-mães vítimas de violência doméstica
Abstract: Domestic violence against women in Brazil is a deeply rooted social problem resulting from
a patriarchal and paternalistic culture, which in recent decades has gained greater visibility
due to social movements that challenge traditional gender structures and roles. Despite this increased visibility, the rate of violence against women in the country remains significantly high and continues to grow.

In this context, the present study addresses the issue of domestic violence, with particular
emphasis on violence perpetrated against mothers, focusing on the city of Campo Grande,
Mato Grosso do Sul. The research adopts a theoretical–practical approach, structured in
three stages: a bibliographic review, the analysis of statistical data, and the development of
an architectural proposal. The objective is to design a welcoming village for women and
their children who are victims of domestic violence.

The main goal of the project is to create, through architectural design, a safe and
welcoming environment that enables victims to break free from violence, regain autonomy
and dignity, and promote professional training and social reintegration, without requiring
them to isolate themselves, remain hidden, or interrupt their daily routines. In this sense, the proposal seeks to function as a “humanized branch” of the Casa da Mulher Brasileira in
Campo Grande, MS, expanding the local network of support and protection for women.

Título: Viver e criar: Habitação estudantil da UFMS, qualificada pela neuroarquitetura.
Abstract: This study aims to develop an architectural design for student housing at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), in Campo Grande, MS, focusing on promoting quality of life, well-being, and student retention, especially for students who balance work and studies and come from other cities. The methodology is based on the principles of neuroarchitecture, considering the influence of the built environment on well-being, combined with the analysis of three relevant case studies, the proposed site, and its urban context.
The architectural proposal includes functional and welcoming spaces, guided by design concepts that support spatial, functional, and formal decisions and by the development of the program of requirements. Two housing typologies are proposed: a double unit for two residents and a family unit accommodating up to three people. The study is justified by the shortage of student housing in Brazil, particularly in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and in the city of Campo Grande, which negatively affects student retention in higher education. In this context, although architecture is not responsible for the teaching-learning process, it can contribute to the creation of environments that foster well-being, creativity, and a more balanced university routine.

Título: Totus Tuus: Escola de Educação Infantil com Abordagem Pikleriana
Abstract: This work proposes the development of the architectural preliminary design of the Totus Tuus Early Childhood Education School, based on the principles of Emmi Pikler’s pedagogical approach, which values respectful care, autonomy, freedom of movement, and the creation of emotional bonds. To achieve this, a theoretical investigation was carried out on the history of childhood and early education, the influence of architecture on early childhood development, and the role of environmental psychology in the quality of educational spaces, along with the analysis of current legislation, pedagogical guidelines, and technical standards applicable to the Brazilian context. National and international case studies were also examined in order to understand how different architectural solutions can address the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of children. The design phase was grounded in the study of the urban and social context of the city of Campo Grande-MS, and, based on the analysis of demographic data, public facilities, and urban infrastructure, a site was selected for the school’s implementation. Finally, a program of requirements was developed with attention to child scale, universal accessibility, environmental comfort, and integration with nature, aiming to foster children’s motor, cognitive, and socio-emotional development, while strengthening their first learning experiences and generating positive impacts on the community.
