      <title>OS 50 TONS DE UMA MULHER: LUTA E RESISTÊNCIA DA PARTICIPAÇÃO FEMININA NA GUERRA DO PARAGUAI</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14195</link>
      <description>Título: OS 50 TONS DE UMA MULHER: LUTA E RESISTÊNCIA DA PARTICIPAÇÃO FEMININA NA GUERRA DO PARAGUAI
Abstract: Esta obra analiza la presencia históricamente invisibilizada de las mujeres en la Guerra del Paraguay (1864-1870), a través de una narrativa biográfica que articula la memoria familiar, la experiencia femenina y los Estudios Culturales. Francisca Martínez, una mujer paraguaya que sirvió como sargento durante la Guerra de Guasu, según relatos orales, encontró una imagen del Arcángel San Miguel entre los escombros de la guerra. Este episodio marcó profundamente&#xD;
a sus descendientes, forjando una identidad religiosa, cultural y simbólica que ha acompañado a la familia durante más de un siglo. Esta investigación analiza la memoria femenina como eje estructurante de la dinámica familiar, estacando el papel de las mujeres en la preservación de la fe, la atención y la transmisión de conocimientos. Las narrativas de los descendientes de Francisca revelan múltiples capas de resistencia: desde la supervivencia en el campo de batalla&#xD;
hasta las experiencias de violencia de género que enfrentaron sus sucesoras, como asesinatos, abusos, explotación, entre otras. En este sentido, el estudio demuestra cómo la violencia contra las mujeres, históricamente vinculada al patriarcado, trasciende distintas temporalidades y sigue siendo un grave problema en el siglo XXI, corroborado por las tasas actuales de feminicidio en&#xD;
Brasil. Esta investigación se estructura teóricamente con base en autores de Estudios Culturales, como Bhabha, Hall, Butler, Cevasco y hooks, y adopta metodológicamente un enfoque cualitativo, con énfasis en la narrativa biográfica y el análisis de las memorias transmitidas de generación en generación. Analiza cómo la escritura constituye un acto de resistencia,&#xD;
especialmente para las mujeres históricamente silenciadas por la historiografía oficial de la guerra, que privilegió las figuras y los logros masculinos. Concluye que las mujeres, al tiempo que apoyaban a sus familias en contextos de guerra, también crearon espacios de fe, afecto e identidad. Así, la investigación vincula el protagonismo femenino con el debate académico, ampliando la comprensión de las mujeres como agentes de transformación social, sujetos&#xD;
históricos y guardianas de memorias y tradiciones.

      <title>MÃOS QUE TECEM SENTIDOS: O CMILCG/MS E A POÉTICA DA DIFERENÇA</title>

      <description>Título: MÃOS QUE TECEM SENTIDOS: O CMILCG/MS E A POÉTICA DA DIFERENÇA
Abstract: This study focuses on the work carried out at the Municipal Center for Sign Language Interpretation in Campo Grande/MS (CMILCG), analyzed from the perspective of Cultural Studies during the period from 2021 to 2024. The CMILCG is an important municipal initiative focused on linguistic mediation between deaf and hearing people, promoting access to information, education, and public services through Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). Based on the theoretical framework of Cultural Studies, which considers culture as a place of disputes and meanings, the research investigated how this institutional space contributes to the visibility, appreciation, and recognition of deaf identity in society. The discursive practices, institutional actions, and forms of representation of deaf subjects within the context of public policy on linguistic inclusion were analyzed. The study employed a qualitative approach, as it demonstrates the intention to understand and interpret a process, using the technical procedures of bibliographic review and document analysis. For was collected through questionnaires with deaf users of the center. It was observed that the CMILCG/MS represents more than just a translation center; it operates as an agent of social transformation by contributing to the strengthening of deaf culture and citizenship. By recognizing differences and acting to confront communication inequalities, the center reaffirms the importance of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) as a legitimate expression of cultural and linguistic diversity. The research indicates that experiences like this should be strengthened as an instrument of social justice and effective inclusion. The CMILCG, through the hands that weave meaning, shows us the poetics of difference.

      <title>A ALIMENTAÇÃO ESCOLAR NAS ESCOLAS PANTANEIRAS DO MUNICÍPIO DE AQUIDAUANA/MS SOB O OLHAR DOS ESTUDOS CULTURAIS: DESAFIOS, MEMÓRIAS E NARRATIVAS</title>

      <description>Título: A ALIMENTAÇÃO ESCOLAR NAS ESCOLAS PANTANEIRAS DO MUNICÍPIO DE AQUIDAUANA/MS SOB O OLHAR DOS ESTUDOS CULTURAIS: DESAFIOS, MEMÓRIAS E NARRATIVAS
Abstract: School feeding is a right of all students enrolled in the public school system, guided by the National School Feeding Program of the Ministry of Education, aimed at the transfer of resources from the union to the states and municipalities for the acquisition of foodstuffs that will make up the school menu, and must be healthy and adequate, satisfying nutritional needs,&#xD;
ensuring physical and intellectual development, with equal access, respecting the biological differences between ages, regionality, culture, health conditions and those who are socially vulnerable. Aquidauana is a municipality in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, located in the Pantanal region, and in 2024 the municipality was responsible for a public school network of 4,280 students, 212 of whom were distributed among four schools located within farms in&#xD;
the Pantanal, the so-called Pantanal Schools. These schools are alternatives for access to education for the children of farm workers in the region. The distance from the municipality to the schools and between the farms varies from 50 to 160 km and, therefore, in some schools the students are housed in a boarding regime, and those who go daily need to wake up very early,&#xD;
arriving at school hungry due to the distance from home, an occasion in which food becomes more than necessary. The general objective of the research was to verify the existence of a Pantanal food culture and its presence in the food of these schools. And as a specific objective, to analyze data related to food in these school units, as well as the memories and narratives of the education workers involved in the process, of the students and their families, living on the&#xD;
farms in the interior of the Pantanal of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the region of Aquidauana, under the eyes of cultural studies. The methodological procedures included bibliographic surveys, field diary, field observation, application of a guiding questionnaire, semi-structured interviews, and compilation of memories and narratives from oral sources. For data analysis, a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach was used. The qualitative analysis focused on&#xD;
memories and narratives, while the quantitative analysis was based on the measurement of the interviewees' responses. As a conclusion, it was possible to identify that in the environment where the Pantanal people live, students, parents and cooks do not recognize the foods sent by the education department and that are part of the menu, as part of the Pantanal culture and food&#xD;
identity, and that they are not given the opportunity to speak, nor to listen, to be able to help compose the menu with foods that have meaning and representation for the community, therefore, the existing public policies that guarantee their rights in relation to school feeding are not complied with.

      <title>SIRIRI DE MATO GROSSO: A SUBJETIVAÇÃO DA ALMA PARA MANUTENÇÃO DO PERTENCER</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14161</link>
      <description>Título: SIRIRI DE MATO GROSSO: A SUBJETIVAÇÃO DA ALMA PARA MANUTENÇÃO DO PERTENCER
Abstract: This dissertation investigates Siriri, a traditional cultural manifestation from Brazil’s Midwest region, particularly in Mato Grosso, interpreting it as an artistic language and a form of identity resistance. The research explores the phenomenon of the “subjectivation of the people’s soul” — the symbolic expression of collective memories, values, and experiences — within the tensions between tradition and modernity, resistance and commodification. Grounded in Cultural Studies, it draws on theorists such as Raymond Williams, E. P. Thompson, Néstor García Canclini, and bell hooks to discuss culture as a political, hybrid, and transformative practice. Methodologically, the study combines bibliographic research with interviews involving dancers, musicians, and leaders from four Siriri groups, analyzing the dance as an aesthetic, social, and communicational phenomenon. Findings reveal that Siriri transcends its folkloric dimension, emerging as a living language that interweaves body, music, and collective memory, functioning as a site of subjectivation and belonging. Rooted in riverside, quilombola, and Indigenous communities, Siriri expresses the resistance and reinvention of historically marginalized groups, consolidating itself as an invaluable element of Brazil’s intangible heritage. Despite the processes of spectacularization and commercialization, Siriri preserves its communal essence by reinterpreting traditions and reaffirming local identities. The research demonstrates that the dance operates as a form of popular pedagogy and cultural transmission across generations, fostering the valorization of regional cultures and strengthening collective identity. It concludes that Siriri is more than an artistic manifestation — it is a language of life and resistance, a political act that preserves identities and reveals the plural soul of Mato Grosso’s people, highlighting the need for cultural policies that ensure its preservation and promotion.
