<description>Título: RELACIONANDO O PENSAMENTO COMPUTACIONAL EM PROPOSTAS METODOLÓGICAS DE RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS EM MATEMÁTICA
Abstract: This study aims to relate the pillars of Computational Thinking to methodological proposals focused on mathematical problem-solving, based on publications from 2021 to 2023. This descriptive research investigates how the concepts of Pattern Recognition, Decomposition, Abstraction, and Algorithms are incorporated into didactic sequences designed for problem-solving. Two texts featuring methodological proposals were selected for analysis. The findings indicate that the pillars of Computational Thinking align with the stages of problem-solving proposed by Polya, highlighting their applicability. Future research should focus on developing didactic sequences that systematically integrate all pillars of Computational Thinking, examining how students apply these pillars in their problem-solving strategies.

<description>Título: Etnomatemática- a matemática da cubicagem realizada por madereiros paraguaios durante os anos 1980 a 2000.
Abstract: This study aims to investigate the mathematical knowledge used by Paraguayan loggers in timber cubicing activities between the 1980s and 2000s. It is based on Ubiratan D’Ambrosio’s studies on Ethnomathematics, which allows us to explore mathematical practices developed in specific cultural contexts that are distinct from those taught in formal educational settings. Using a qualitative approach, the research used semi-structured interviews with the loggers, seeking to identify the methods and algorithms used to calculate timber cubicing. The results show three different methods that the loggers used to calculate timber cubicing, which have geometric foundations and highlight the importance of mathematical knowledge for efficiency in the work. The research also relates this knowledge to school curricular content, fostering an integration between the teaching of Mathematics and non-academic knowledge, in addition to contributing to discussions on the role of Ethnomathematics in Mathematics Education and in the school curriculum.
