<title>COMO CUIDAR DE FERIDAS VASCULARES: Um manual para você e sua família</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/9546</link>
<description>Título: COMO CUIDAR DE FERIDAS VASCULARES: Um manual para você e sua família
Abstract: This guidance manual was developed to train caregivers in the management of patients with vascular wounds, focusing on the proper use of dressings in the home environment. The booklet offers a practical and comprehensive guide to the main materials used in the treatment of these wounds, including gauze, compresses, cleaning solutions, special coverings and bandages, as well as explaining their specific functions and indications. By defining each of these supplies in detail, the manual ensures that caregivers can make informed choices appropriate to the type of wound and stage of healing. In addition, the manual presents, in an accessible way, the correct technique for performing dressings, emphasizing each stage of the process, from sanitizing the affected area to the proper application of the materials. These technical guidelines aim not only to guarantee the effectiveness of the treatment, but also to prevent complications such as infections and deterioration of the wound. Another fundamental aspect of the booklet is the promotion of caregiver autonomy, offering strategies for identifying signs of complications, such as infection or worsening of the vascular condition, and guidance on when to seek medical help. The content also includes practical tips on comprehensive patient care, considering the importance of adapting treatment to living conditions and the reality of the home, while respecting the patient's comfort and well-being. By facilitating the understanding and practice of care at home, the manual aims to optimize the healing process and improve the patient's quality of life, promoting a humanized and safe approach. The ultimate goal is not only to impart technical knowledge, but also to empower caregivers and family members so that they feel confident in providing care that is continuous, efficient and sensitive to the patient's individual needs.
