    <title>A COBERTURA CIBERJORNALÍSTICA DE ACIDENTES AÉREOS: ESTUDO DE CASO DO VOEPASS 2283</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14267</link>
    <description>Título: A COBERTURA CIBERJORNALÍSTICA DE ACIDENTES AÉREOS: ESTUDO DE CASO DO VOEPASS 2283
Abstract: This research investigates the cyberjournalistic coverage of air accidents, ocusing on the impact of immediacy on the quality of information in crisis contexts. It is a study based on bibliographic research, content analysis, and interviews with specialists, which seeks to understand how news, informational flows, and technological mediations influence the construction of journalistic narratives in air disasters, assessing the relationship between accuracy, credibility, and the spectacularization of tragedy. The case study focuses on the crash of VOEPASS flight 2283, which occurred in August 2024 in the interior of São Paulo, an event that claimed the lives of all its occupants and received wide national repercussion. The theoretical framework mobilizes concepts such as mediacentrism, dromocracy, cyberculture, news quality, and agenda-setting theory, in addition to contributions from central authors in the debate on cyberjournalism, sources, and expert systems, including McLuhan, Castells, Virilio, Trivinho, Canavilhas, Pavlik, Sodré, Soley, and Gans. The research adopted a mixed-methods approach, predominantly qualitative, supported by the triangulation of bibliographic review, collection of news reports published in the seven days following the accident and at the time of release of the preliminary report, and two interviews — with the head of the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) and with a journalism researcher. The qualitative analysis focused on three axes: the initial divergence in the disclosure of the number of victims, the selection and use of information sources, and the credibility attributed to the expert system. The findings indicate that immediacy undermines validation and favors the dissemination of inaccurate information, fostering fragmented and sometimes contradictory narratives. The study also identified a tendency toward spectacularization, which turns tragedy into a media spectacle and blurs the boundary between information of public interest and the emotional exploitation of the event. It was observed that journalism, while expanding access and diversifying dissemination channels, operates in an environment marked by competition with citizen journalists, the influence of distribution algorithms, and economic pressure for engagement — factors that intensify the risks of disinformation. Cyberjournalism, in its condition as the dominant form of informative practice, must adopt strategies that reconcile speed and verification, reaffirming credibility as a central value. This dissertation contributes to the field of Communication by offering a critical reading of the limits and potentialities of cyberjournalism in the face of disruptive events, highlighting the importance of practices grounded in ethics, informational curation, and the enhancement of news quality.

    <title>Telenovela e memória midiática: a recepção da telenovela Pantanal</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14111</link>
    <description>Título: Telenovela e memória midiática: a recepção da telenovela Pantanal
Abstract: The telenovela is one of the most significant formats of Brazilian television, standing as a cultural product of wide reach and social impact. Pantanal is a landmark in Brazilian teledramaturgy, whose first version, aired in 1990 by Rede Manchete, was remade in 2022 by Rede Globo. This study investigates how the audience received the new version, especially regarding the activation of the media memory of the original work. The aim is to understand the comparisons between the two productions, identifying specific aspects of engagement, perception, and interpretation. The research was conducted through focus groups, which made it possible to analyze reception practices, affective memories, identification processes, and the cultural circulation of the narrative. The results reveal that participants perceive the remake as an experience of reconnection with the past, valuing the landscape, characters, and soundtrack as triggers of memories and emotions. At the same time, they pointed to changes in consumption and interpretation dynamics, highlighting the active role of viewers in reconstructing the telenovela. &#xD;

    <title>Quem fala sobre e pelo futebol profissional de Mato Grosso do Sul? Análise de fontes e canais de informação no jornal Correio do Estado (2015-2020)</title>

    <description>Título: Quem fala sobre e pelo futebol profissional de Mato Grosso do Sul? Análise de fontes e canais de informação no jornal Correio do Estado (2015-2020)
Abstract: This study uses longitudinal research to identify and analyze the voices that were considered legitimate to speak about professional soccer in Mato Grosso do Sul state between 2015 and 2020. This analysis is limited to the sports section of Correio do Estado, the main printed newspaper in the region, which is located in the capital of Campo Grande (MS). Grounded in the concepts of journalistic sources (Lage, 2001; Soley, 1992; Gans, 2004) and information channels (Sigal, 1974), the study aims to understand the selection process and journalistic legitimization of individuals deemed qualified to discuss the topic. Using content analysis, 11,547 news items were categorized to trace the historical profile of the sources during the aforementioned period. This analysis correlates the performance of the regional journalistic field with the period of the sport's decline in Mato Grosso do Sul and its loss of prominence on the national stage. The research reveals that, although the selection of topics is somewhat diverse, the sports section of Correio do Estado primarily relies on primary sources and favors individuals directly involved in the sporting event, such as players, coaches, and managers. This approach drastically reduces the space allotted to secondary or specialized sources, which are essential for broadening the complexity of the debate. Another notable point is the hierarchy of sports, in which soccer occupies more than two-thirds of the media space, thus consolidating its position as the dominant topic. The research also revealed gender imbalances. The low percentage of women mobilized as sources (only 6%) confirms the perpetuation of structural inequalities. Another relevant finding concerns the predominance of corporate channels (96.4%) in information channels, revealing reporters' dependence on direct contact with their sources rather than more robust institutional mediation, such as press conferences or structured press offices. This situation highlights the vulnerability of the regional soccer communication ecosystem, which is characterized by a lack of professionalism among clubs.

    <title>PODCASTS JORNALÍSTICOS EM MATO GROSSO DO SUL: cartografia, conteúdos e análise sobre territorialidade e finalidade</title>

    <description>Título: PODCASTS JORNALÍSTICOS EM MATO GROSSO DO SUL: cartografia, conteúdos e análise sobre territorialidade e finalidade
Abstract: This dissertation aims to map and analyze the production of journalistic podcasts in Mato Grosso do Sul, considering the contexts of media convergence, globalization, and territoriality. The study applied the cartography methodology (Rosário, 2016) to identify podcasts produced between 2023 and 2024 and distributed on Spotify, YouTube, and journalistic outlets from the four most populous cities in each mesoregion of the state. A total of 52 podcasts were cataloged, 27 of which were linked to local news organizations. Among these, six episodes — all from Campo Grande and Dourados, the only cities with journalistic podcast production — were selected for in-depth analysis. Content Analysis (Bardin, 1977) was employed to examine narrative, thematic, structural, and journalistic dimensions, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to capture both explicit elements and implicit meanings. The findings reveal that while some productions explore the podcast as a medium for expanding journalism, others remain at an incipient stage, appropriating the term “podcast” either to replicate pre-existing media content or merely as a strategy for insertion into this format.
