Abstract: Intensive land use in the Indaiá I, II, III, and IV settlements, within the Indaiá stream basin, has caused significant environmental impacts, particularly related to soil erosion. To assess this process, the study applied the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) integrated with the InVEST Model to estimate soil losses. The results indicated soil losses ranging from 0 to 2649.43 Mg ha−1 year−1, with an overall average of 10.42 Mg ha−1 year−1. Moderate soil losses, less than 10 Mg ha−1 year−1, occur in 80.94% of the Indaiá stream basin. Analysis of&#xD;
maximum values by land use and land cover class showed that the greatest losses occurred in areas of seasonal deciduous forest (2649.4 Mg ha−1 year−1), exposed soil along roads (2009.9 Mg ha−1 year−1), and degraded pastures (1520.9 Mg ha−1 year−1). However, the highest average soil losses occurred in the erosive processes class (285.81 Mg ha−1 year−1) and exposed soil (159.35 Mg ha−1 year−1). Finally, the study demonstrates that the application of RUSLE integrated with the InVEST Model is effective in estimating soil losses, constituting an important tool to support territorial planning and management actions in the Indaiá stream watershed.

    <summary type="text">Título: A PERSPECTIVA DOS JORNAIS ONLINE DE AQUIDAUANA/MS SOBRE AS QUEIMADAS NO PANTANAL SUL-MATO-GROSSENSE NO PERÍODO DE 2023 A 2025
Abstract: This study analyzes how the online newspapers of the municipality of Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul, portrayed the fires in the Pantanal during the period from 2023 to 2025. The research adopted both qualitative and quantitative approaches, using news reports published in the city’s main digital outlets and official data on fire hotspots provided by BDQueimadas/INPE. The results show that most articles are informational in nature, rely heavily on official data, and focus on specific areas of the Pantanal in Mato Grosso do Sul. It was observed that years with a higher number of hotspots also exhibited a greater volume of reports and a wider thematic diversity, including firefighting actions, reports of criminally set fires, and environmental impacts. Conversely, there was a low presence of investigative pieces, awareness-raising content, and information on health risks. The analysis indicates that journalistic coverage closely follows the climatic and environmental dynamics of the period, underscoring the importance of the local press in mediating information about fires in the biome.

Abstract: This study aimed to survey household conditions related to water supply, sanitation, and &#xD;
solid waste disposal in the Aldeia Água Branca, located in Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul, &#xD;
Brazil. The methodology consisted of on-site visits to local residences, using standardized &#xD;
questionnaires for data collection. The results showed that, although all households have access to &#xD;
piped water from artesian wells with chlorination treatment, significant challenges regarding basic &#xD;
sanitation persist. A portion of the residences lack bathrooms or toilets, and there is no municipal &#xD;
waste collection service, leading to the burning of household waste as the primary disposal method. &#xD;
The findings highlight the urgent need for public policies that expand sewage systems and solid &#xD;
waste management, as well as environmental education actions aimed at improving the health and &#xD;
quality of life of the Community.

Abstract: The number of individuals who use alcoholic beverages in Brazil has been growing constantly, which presents serious dangers to health and causes disorganization in family and social relationships. According to the Alcohol Health Information Center (COSA), in 2023 45% of Brazilians consumed alcoholic beverages at parties, social events, weddings, in their own homes, among other places. Thus, the main objective of this work is to survey and analyze information about people who consume alcohol in Aquidauana, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, with the purpose of providing public policies aimed at this specific group. Thus, initially a bibliographical survey was carried out through scientific collections to gain greater depth on the topic in question. Soon after, data and information provided by Occupational Health Surveillance (VISAT), the Aquidauana Municipal Department of Health and Planning and the local Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) were used. In view of this, it was possible to observe that the information and data made available by the Municipal Department of Health and Planning, as well as by the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) of Aquidauana, are not updated and complete, which caused considerable difficulty in conducting the research investigation.
