Abstract: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) have been widely adopted in Distribution &#xD;
Centers to improve operational efficiency and inventory accuracy. Objective: To analyze, &#xD;
through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), the impact of WMS and associated digital &#xD;
technologies on inventory accuracy and operational efficiency in Distribution Centers. Method: &#xD;
SLR conducted in Web of Science, Scopus, and SciELO, covering 2009–2026, following &#xD;
PRISMA 2020 protocol. Thirty-four articles were selected after relevance score screening, &#xD;
title/abstract reading, and full-text analysis supported by the Elicit AI platform. Results: WMS &#xD;
integrated with RFID consistently raises inventory accuracy to 98%–99.8%, with expressive &#xD;
reductions in processing times and substantial decreases in labor costs. The largest gains occur &#xD;
in &#xD;
operations that transition from manual systems to integrated platforms. WMS &#xD;
implementation is a consolidated strategy for modernizing logistics operations, with positive &#xD;
impacts on efficiency, accuracy, and service level. &#xD;
Keywords: warehouse management system; WMS; RFID; IoT; inventory accuracy; &#xD;
operational efficiency; distribution centers; production engineering.

    <summary type="text">Título: Revisão bibliográfica sistemática: Viabilidade de substituição de polímeros convencionais por biopolímeros no setor de embalagens alimentícias.
Abstract: Conventional polymers are widely used in the food packaging industry due to their low cost,&#xD;
versatility, and strength. However, they generate a large amount of waste and have a long&#xD;
degradation time, harming the environment. Thus, biopolymers emerge as a sustainable&#xD;
alternative to fossil-based materials. This study aims to analyze the technical, economic, and&#xD;
environmental aspects of biopolymers in the food packaging sector to replace conventional&#xD;
polymers with biodegradable materials. The methodology used was a systematic literature&#xD;
review, searching databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, Elsevier, and Google Scholar,&#xD;
limiting the search to studies published between 2021 and 2025. After applying the inclusion&#xD;
and exclusion criteria, 13 studies were selected for qualitative analysis. Based on the results&#xD;
obtained, the analysis shows that biopolymers have several advantages: biodegradability, use&#xD;
of renewable raw materials, and reduction of solid waste. It was also observed that materials&#xD;
such as PLA (polylactic acid), starch, cellulose, and chitosan have great potential for application&#xD;
in biodegradable packaging. However, there are still barriers related to material resistance,&#xD;
humidity sensitivity, thermal stability, and production costs. Thus, it is clear that biopolymers&#xD;
are a promising alternative to conventional polymers, but technological advances, process&#xD;
improvements, and greater economic viability are still needed to expand their industrial&#xD;
applications.

Abstract: This article aims to detail how the best practices in project management from the PMBOK guide were used within the commercial refrigeration company, in a project to replace depreciated machines. The general objective of the study was to analyze which project management best practices were used by the company in a machine replacement project, in order to identify gaps for improvement in the management process. To this end, research of an exploratory purpose, applied nature, and qualitative approach was conducted through a case study. Data analysis revealed that the process groups of initiation, monitoring and controlling, and closing show greater adherence to best practices, as well as to the tools, techniques, and documentation used in project management. However, the planning and execution process groups showed greater deficiencies regarding these aspects. Regarding the project goals, a 4% delay in the planned schedule and 96% execution of the planned scope were identified. As for the cost goals, no negative impacts on the budget were observed, although gaps were identified in the cost planning stage. Thus, an improvement proposal using the 5W2H tool was developed as a way to identify and mitigate the gaps for enhancing the management process.

    <summary type="text">Título: O papel da Inteligência Artificial na otimização da manutenção de frotas de caminhões para o transporte de madeira: uma RBS
Abstract: Currently, fleet management for wood transport faces severe challenges, such as operations in remote areas and high terrain severity, which limit traditional maintenance approaches. This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) acts in the optimization of these processes. The research was conducted across the Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and Web of Science databases, covering the period from 2015 to 2025, resulting in a final portfolio of 31 validated articles after screening 258 raw records. The results demonstrate that Deep Learning techniques, such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), are considered benchmarks in Remaining Useful Life (RUL) prognosis, showing accuracy levels exceeding 95%. It is evident that the integration of Edge Computing architectures is fundamental to overcoming low connectivity in the forestry sector. Thus, it was found that AI not only increases fleet availability but also serves as a strategic element for reducing operational costs and strengthening Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices in the industry.
