Abstract: Objective: To classify the risk and degree of dependence of patients undergoing hemodialysis in a public hospital in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Methods: Cross-sectional study carried out in a hemodialysis unit from September 2016 to April 2017. Data were collected, with structured interview, analysis of medical records and application of the instrument Categorización User Según Dependency y Riesgo, in hemodialysis units (CUDYR-DIAL). Data analysis was performed using simple descriptive statistics. Results: Sample composed of 27 patients, the majority were male with a mean age of 61.22 years. The categorization showed high risk and partial self-sufficiency (51.9%). As for dependence, most required basic care, however, 88.9% needed psychosocial and emotional support. Regarding risk, it was found that 81.5% of patients were characterized as high risk and thus required strict control of vital signs, care with vascular and skin accesses, and medication administration during the hemodialysis section. Conclusion: Patients demand complex and risky care activities, and they need psycho-emotional support.; Objetivo: Clasificar el riesgo y grado de dependencia de los pacientes sometidos a hemodiálisis en un hospital público del estado de Mato Grosso do Sul.

    <summary type="text">Título: Adherence to antiretroviral therapy in people living with HIV with moderate or severe mental disorder
Abstract: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection remains a serious public health concern, with an estimated 38 million people living with HIV (PLHIV). PLHIV are often affected by mental disorders at higher rate than the general population. One challenge in the control and prevention of new HIV infections is adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART), with PLHIV with mental disorders having seemingly lower adherence than PLHIV without mental disorders. This cross-sectional study assessed adherence to ART in PLHIV with mental disorders who attended the Psychosocial Care Network health facilities in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, from January 2014 to December 2018. Data from health and medical databases were used to describe clinical–epidemiological profiles and adherence to ART. To assess the associated factors (potential risk or predisposing factors) with ART adherence, we used logistic regression model. Adherence was extremely low (16.4%). Factors associated with poor adherence were lack of clinical follow-up, particularly in middle-aged PLHIV. Other apparently associated factors were living on the streets and having suicidal ideation. Our findings reinforce the need for improvements in the care for PLHIV with mental disorders, especially in the integration between specialized mental health and infectious disease health facilities.

    <summary type="text">Título: CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE INTERVENTION IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE: INTEGRATIVE REVIEW
Abstract: To analyze the knowledge and safety of primary health care professionals in the management of chronic kidney disease in its early stages. Integrative literature review carried out in four steps. The search took place in the following databases: MEDLINE via PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus and BVS. The descriptors used were “Primary Health Care” AND “Kidney Diseases” AND “Health Knowledge, Attitudes, Practice” and the quality of the analysis was checked by means of the Hierarchy of Evidence for Intervention Studies”. Fifteen articles were found, with a predominance of qualitative and descriptive method; the results showed insufficient knowledge of health professionals and interest in the best approach in the initial stage of the disease. Thus, it is inferred that the knowledge and security of primary health care professionals depend on individual factors and institutional initiative for the adoption of clinical guidelines and training. Therefore, prepared professionals and organized care, using protocols, would bring benefits both to patients as to the evolution and outcome of the disease and savings to health services.

    <summary type="text">Título: Efeitos das células-tronco mesenquimais no tratamento da osteoartrite de joelho: Um relato de caso no Sistema Único de Saúde do Brasil
Abstract: Osteoarthritis (OA) can incapacitate the individual to perform their activities of daily living due to pain. This is an important public health issue that worsens worldwide and in Brazil, since the population goes through an aging process, and has caused increased public spending on the monitoring and maintenance of treatments that can last for years and still not be resolutive. Thus, the search for innovative and effective therapies&#xD;
that can reduce costs becomes necessary. In this context, the present study reports the first application of cell therapy with adipose-derived stemcells in the treatment of cases of OA that are refractory to the conservative treatment, performed in the Brazilian Unified Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde, SUS). The evaluation was performed with the application of the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), the Short FormHealth Survey (SF-36) and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities (WOMAC), specifics for OA evaluation, and also an analysis of the synovial fluid (inflammatory cytokines). The cell therapy improved the scores on the WOMAC, SF-36 and EVA, and reduced the inflammatory process. We observed a decrease of 0.73x in the TNF, of 0,71x in IL-1b, of 0,68x in IL-8, and of 0,70x in IL-10. For IL-6, an increase of 1,48x was observed.&#xD;
Therefore, this cell therapy can be considered promising in aiding the management of this disease, since it improved the patient’s pain, decrease inflammatory markers, and enabled the return to activities of daily living, which resulted in an improvement in their quality of life.
