      <description>Título: Perfil tabágico e grau de dependência nicotínica entre acadêmicos de Odontologia: revisão integrativa de literatura
Abstract: Tobacco use is a chronic disease characterized by nicotine dependence. It is recognized as the leading preventable cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide,&#xD;
accounting for more than eight million deaths each year. The initiation of tobacco product consumption often occurs during youth, underscoring the need for studies&#xD;
focused on the academic population. In the field of Dentistry, tobacco use represents not only a risk factor for several oral diseases—such as oral cancer, periodontitis, and halitosis—but also an ethical and educational challenge, given the dentist’s exemplary&#xD;
role in health promotion. This study aimed to identify the smoking profile and the degree of nicotine dependence among undergraduate dental students through an&#xD;
integrative literature review. The search was conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, SciELO, and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, including publications from 2015&#xD;
to 2025 in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with 28 articles selected for analysis. The studies addressed the prevalence of smoking, types of tobacco products used,&#xD;
initiation of consumption, and associated factors. The results showed a variable prevalence of 2.3% to 45.5% of smokers among dental students; in addition to&#xD;
conventional cigarettes, waterpipe (hookah) and the increasing use of electronic smoking devices were also prominent. Although awareness of the harmful effects of&#xD;
tobacco is high, consumption persists, especially among students in the final years of their undergraduate program. It is concluded that tobacco use among dental students&#xD;
remains an underestimated public health issue, requiring continuous educational actions, cessation strategies tailored to the university context, and greater institutional&#xD;
engagement in training professionals committed to promoting healthy habits.

      <title>TRATAMENTO DE SEQUELAS DE TRAUMATISMO DENTÁRIO SEVERO NA DENTIÇÃO DECÍDUA E MISTA</title>

      <description>Título: TRATAMENTO DE SEQUELAS DE TRAUMATISMO DENTÁRIO SEVERO NA DENTIÇÃO DECÍDUA E MISTA
Abstract: Dental trauma in childhood is a frequent condition of great clinical&#xD;
relevance, given its potential to produce aesthetic, functional, and emotional repercussions in the patient's life. This study reports the clinical case of a patient who experienced two distinct episodes of dental trauma: the first, at six years of age, involving the primary tooth 61 and may be resulted in root dilaceration of the permanent tooth 21; the second, at eleven years of age, causing extensive coronal fractures with pulp exposure in teeth 11 and 22. The&#xD;
anatomical complexity arising from the root dilaceration, combined with the functional and aesthetic consequences of the crown fractures, required a multidisciplinary treatment plan involving pediatric dentistry, endodontics, restorative dentistry, and orthodontics. The treatment included dentin desensitization, multi-session pulpectomy, provisional aesthetic restorations, orthodontic traction to correct crossbite of tooth 21, remove premature contact, and achieve dental alignment with fixed orthodontic appliances. The conservative approach allowed preservation of pulp vitality, restoration of aesthetics during a critical stage of child development, and maintenance of functional stability. This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis, interdisciplinary management, and continuous clinical and radiographic follow-up, especially in young patients whose teeth present a history of trauma and a higher risk of late complications.

      <title>RELATO DE CASO DA CIRURGIA DE REIMPLANTE INTENCIONAL REALIZADO NO DENTE 21 COM EXTENSA REABSORÇÃO CERVICAL INVASIVA</title>

      <description>Título: RELATO DE CASO DA CIRURGIA DE REIMPLANTE INTENCIONAL REALIZADO NO DENTE 21 COM EXTENSA REABSORÇÃO CERVICAL INVASIVA
Abstract: Invasive Cervical Resorption (ICR) is a progressive condition characterized by substitution of root dentin with resorptive tissue of odontoclastic origin, typically associated with dental trauma, orthodontic treatment, or internal bleaching. Due to its subgingival and frequently asymptomatic behavior, diagnosis is often delayed. ConeBeam Computed Tomography (CBCT) allows precise assessment of the lesion’s extent and its relationship with the root canal. This article presents the clinical management of a 35-year-old male patient with a history of trauma to tooth 21 fifteen years earlier, showing discoloration, slight mobility, and a mesial cervical radiolucency consistent with Class 3 ICR. After a multidisciplinary evaluation, endodontic therapy&#xD;
followed by Intentional Replantation (IR) was selected as a conservative treatment option to preserve function and esthetics at lower cost than Implant-supported rehabilitation. The procedure included atraumatic extraction, a total extraoral time of 14 minutes and 53 seconds, debridement of resorptive tissue under magnification, sealing of the defects with Bio-C Repair bioceramic cement, and cervical restoration using bioactive resin materials. Six-month clinical and radiographic follow-up revealed no symptoms, periodontal stability, and absence of progression in bone resorption, despite minor local remodeling. This case highlights that Intentional Replantation, when properly indicated and carried out under strict technical and biological principles, is a predictable approach for advanced ICR, allowing preservation of the natural tooth, bone support, and esthetic harmony. Long-term monitoring remains essential for early detection of late complications such as ankylosis or replacement resorption.

      <title>Carcinoma espinocelular oral em pacientes pós-transplante de células-tronco hematopoiéticas: uma revisão integrativa.</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14001</link>
      <description>Título: Carcinoma espinocelular oral em pacientes pós-transplante de células-tronco hematopoiéticas: uma revisão integrativa.
Abstract: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a therapeutic modality used in the treatment of hematologic and oncohematologic diseases, aiming to restore bone marrow function after myeloablative conditioning regimens. With the increase in patient survival, late complications have become more frequent, among which secondary malignant neoplasms stand out, particularly those affecting the oral cavity. This study aimed to outline the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients who developed oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) following HSCT. An integrative literature review was carried out in the PubMed, Scopus, SciELO, and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, including publications from the last 20 years in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Twenty-nine articles were selected, totaling 59 clinical cases. There was a predominance of male patients (67.8%) with a mean age of 34 years. The most frequent underlying diseases were Fanconi anemia (40.68%), acute myeloid leukemia (15.25%), and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (10.17%). The most common transplant type was allogeneic, with related donors in 40.68%, unrelated donors in 11.86%, and haploidentical donors in 11.86%. Chronic oral graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) was reported in 72.88% of patients. The mean interval between HSCT and OSCC diagnosis was nine years, while patient delay ranged from 20 days to two years, with an average of 13.3 months. The most affected sites were the tongue (36.36%), buccal mucosa (22.73%), and gingiva/alveolar ridge (13.64%), with ulcerated lesions being the most common presentation (53.57%). The mortality rate was high (47.05%), while 39.21% of patients remained free of recurrence or metastasis. It is concluded that oral squamous cell carcinoma secondary to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation has a multifactorial etiology, a significant incidence, and clinical characteristics that justify long-term and continuous dental surveillance.
